A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped [email protected] will go to [email protected] if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be really easy if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your hosting account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you have created listed alphabetically and on the right side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly inform you whether a specific mailbox receives all the emails associated with a certain domain or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you want. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini button conveniently located directly next to each one. With just a single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature using the menu that will come into view. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
